There wasn’t some giant business plan.

There was just us, camping, getting muddy and thinking…

‘Surely someone makes L Shaped Outdoor Mats to fit around our Overland Truck ~ to suit our Roof Tent set up ?’

Apparently not quite the way we want it.

So we decided to have a go ourselves.

Royal Mud Co. is a UK born outdoor brand. We design the gear we want to take on our adventures, then work with specialist manufacturers to bring it to life.

Then we do what any sensible people would do.

We take it camping.

And get it dirty.

We’re a family that loves getting out.

Sometimes that’s a proper off-road adventure.

Sometimes its a night under the stars.

We like being outside.

We like 4×4s.

We like finding somewhere we’ve never been.

And we’re pretty sure we’re not the only ones.

Basically: you order it, we pack it, and then we start getting jealous of where you’re taking it.

Why not just a normal mat?

Fair Question.

You absolutely can.

But most camping mats weren’t designed around the way we actually use our vehicles.

We wanted something, big enough, tough enough, easy enough and importantly…

Good looking enough.

Because yes…

We’re shallow enough to care what our camping gear looks like.
